Apartment Building Cleaning Checklist Barcelona

A communal-area cleaning request works best when the building manager and residents know which spaces are covered. Start with a list of shared areas and the desired frequency, then identify tasks that need a separate arrangement.

Map the shared areas

  • Entrance lobby, internal doors, intercom and mailboxes.
  • Stairs, landings, handrails and corridors.
  • Lift interiors and accessible touchpoints.
  • Entrance mats and any shared waste area included in the request.
  • Outdoor entrance areas, where applicable.

Describe the building

Include the number of floors and staircases, approximate communal floor area, lift access and surface materials. A small entrance with stone flooring has different needs from a larger building with carpeted corridors. Mention any delicate surfaces and existing marks or damage.

Agree access and timing

Identify the person coordinating access and the times when cleaning is practical. Explain whether water, electricity and suitable storage are available. Share sensitive access details through an agreed channel rather than putting codes in a public note or uploaded floor plan.

Separate routine and occasional work

Routine floor and touchpoint cleaning can be listed separately from high windows, external areas or cleaning after building works. Record the current condition so the first visit can be scoped appropriately. Ask how work outside the agreed scope will be reviewed before it proceeds.

Send a useful request

The quote form includes a stairwell and shared-building-area option with relevant tasks. Add the address, preferred frequency and any access restrictions. An optional plan or photo can show the layout without including residents’ names or other unnecessary personal information.
